An empty prison corridor seen through barred gates

Every undertrial deserves the same forensic scrutiny, regardless of what they can afford.

Accused persons face forensic evidence they cannot challenge, because the technical help to do it has been missing from legal aid. Fide Forensic Foundation provides it.

“The quality of a defence must not be determined by financial capacity.”

Foundation operating principle

Our legal aid mandate.

Every service we offer is free to anyone who qualifies under Section 12 of the Legal Services Authorities Act, 1987. There is no reduced scope. We apply the same scientific standard to every case.

Zero cost. Zero reduction in scope or rigour.

  • Same scientists. The senior panel that takes every paid matter takes yours.
  • Same method. The seven-point audit, and the same court-ready reports.
  • Same court support.A scientist in the witness box whenever the case needs one.

Who qualifies.

  • Referral through SLSA, DLSA or an empanelled legal aid NGO
  • Representation by panel advocates
  • Eligibility under Section 12 of the Legal Services Authorities Act
  • Undertrials in judicial custody, who get priority
